Big news from the Trammell household this morning. Ryan has officially rolled over! While this may not seem like a big deal, you'd think we had won the lotto when he went from back to front not once, but twice today. (Mom may have even shed a tear...pathetic, I know.)
Earlier in the week, he flipped from his tummy to his back when my head was turned, so I missed it -- and passed it off as a fluke. But today, he was in his jungle and was trying over and over to make it over -- and eventually succeeded!
Another milestone for the books. :)

4 month doctor's visit
Today Ryan went to see Dr. Steele for his 4 month check up -- we're pleased to report that he's quite healthy and growing on schedule. Dr. Steele confirmed our hunch that Ryan's likely to be built like his daddy, long and lean.
Ryan currently weighs in at 13 lbs, 15 oz, (so call it 14 lbs), and is 25.25 inches long. He's in the 70th percentile for height, and the 40th for weight. Ryan, it looks like chicken legs may be in your future after all.
Ryan also is starting to nap better during the day (keep your fingers crossed that that trend continues) and pretty soon we'll start on solid food. We're planning to take it slowly since daddy was allergic to so many things as a kid, but rest assured that we'll soon be posting photos and videos of messy faces. :)
Last, but not least, Ryan took his vaccinations today (four shots!) like a star -- just yelped a little bit. While the band-aids below are girlie, I assure you that Ryan took them like a man.

Updates!
Hello everyone! Ryan's still growing like a weed...and we'll go to the doctor this Thursday for an official check up, so we'll post our new stats later that day hopefully. In the meantime, we've recently enjoyed our cousin Haedyn's 1st birthday party, cousin Autumn's baptism, a play date with Ryan's girlfriend, Sienna Barnidge, and so much more...we're growing to love our exersaucer, and not minding "tummy time" as much any more. Enjoy a few photos and one short video below - and look for an update later this week.
Enjoying wearing his stylin' outfits for Hae-Hae's and Autumn's parties:

And last, but definitely not least - a short clip of Ryan's new version of "talking," which is more like high-pitched squealing. Sorry for the poor video quality and sideways screen - we're still using an older point-and-shoot digital camera to grab these clips, as we have yet to purchase our "real" camera. Despite the quality, enjoy:

We get so many compliments on Ryan's hair...from the front at least. Ryan's a restless sleeper...hence the big bald spot in the back. :) We do enjoy the "soul patch" on the back of his head though. Check it out:

Time flies...
Family and friends...Ryan is growing up. While we're still not sleeping well at night (sigh), we are having more fun during the day. In recent weeks, Ryan has eaten out at his first restaurant, started rolling onto his side, giggling and even started playing in his exersaucer, a.k.a. "the office," as dubbed by cousin Haedyn.

Mesmerized by Baby Einstein:

It won't be long and we'll be learning to sit up better and jump in grandma's doorjam jumper. We even bought a real outside swing to hang from a tree in our backyard for this spring/summer (from great grandma Jinnie!) Ryan has no idea how much fun is in store for him. Enjoy some recent pics for kicks. We love you!

Bath time
We're lucky that Ryan seems to enjoy his baths. While he's not old enough to splash or play, he doesn't cry, so we take that as a good sign. :) He's also very into holding/clutching soft things these days, so he's taken to holding his wash cloth during bath time as if it's his job.
Enjoy a few photos from this morning's bath: (and yes, that's a mohawk...)

Baptized!
This past weekend, Ryan became "official." That's right, he is baptized! Many thanks to godparents Kelly & Josh for their love and support, as well as all of our family. We were so fortunate and blessed to have so many family members there to witness the sacrament and join us at our home to celebrate afterwards.

Ryan was exhausted by the time the actual baptism occurred, so he let us know a few times how tired he was -- but during the actual pouring of the holy water, he did well. Grandpa was a stellar photographer and caught some excellent moments on film (or..memory card...whatever). :)
During the ceremony:
Ryan's hair looked pretty sweet after the water and holy oil. Check out this pic with Fr. Mike:
And, back at home - Ryan was again exhausted:
Ryan enjoyed playing with his cousins -- until Haedyn "fish-hooked" him. This is just after she sweetly offered Ryan her own pacifier. :) We're in for some fun times in the coming months!
